With February being full of all the hearts, pink, and chocolates I thought we would give a focus on all the love! Starting off with great outfits for date nights. Whether it’s on Valentine’s day, or any night of the year.
I have been married 3 years now, but finding a great date night outfit always helps make the night feel special. Because it IS special! Whether you’re out with your husband, boyfriend, or a girls night for that matter. You are taking the time out of your regular routine to make memories. And I’m here to help you feel good doing it!
So here are 5 perfect date night outfits. That range from super comfy, to fancy dinner date. Because let’s be honest a good movie night (at home even) is probably most of our go to when it comes to date night.
Yep, the best date night outfit there is. A good pair of leggings, with pockets of course, and a cozy sweatshirt.
I got these leggings a few weeks ago and love them. They have been great for running errands, getting comfy, and definitely to workout in. The pockets are what drew me in because I needed a pair with some. But the fabric is like crazy soft and light. They almost feel too thin but they definitely passed the see through test at a workout class a couple weeks ago. Bless the dear friend who checked for me haha.
This sweatshirt is a tunic style with an a-line bottom. I wish I would have taken a better picture for you! It’s the perfect top for leggings as it definitely will cover your backside. I’m wearing a small and would size up if I wanted more coverage for the front as well. The color is so trendy and I love the thicker tie strings on the hood.
Casual n’ Cute
For when you’re doing date night but still want to be comfortable. A good pair of high wasted jeans are always a golden find. This Universal Thread pair are what jean dreams are made of. The high wasted is truly, high wasted! Went above the belly button on me and they were a great straight cut. A good pair for sure. I think I would have sized down to have a tighter fit.
The jeans made this crop top no issue either. Crop tops are comfortable to me but sometimes keeping them modest is a struggle. Not with this combo! I was even able to tuck the crop top in!! The boyfriend style cut kept it comfy, but cute and it comes in blush pink as well. A great date night basic you could come back to often, it really would work great with any high waste. I tried it with the leggings above and the crop still wasn’t too short.
I love when a piece can be dressed up or dressed down. This velvet jumpsuit screamed at me in the stores. Originally I thought of keeping it more casual with a basic tee underneath and a pair of leopard flats. But then keeping it warmer for a later date night felt right. Can’t you just see this outfit out among the city lights?
The jumpsuit itself was insanely comfortable. The straps are adjustable which made it easy to fit right. You could probably size down due to the length because the waste is a comfortable elastic. The velvet is so dreamy and the color is different and versatile. I loved how it looked with the lighter denim, but would also look great with a black moto jacket.
A day date out in the sun always calls for a flirty dress. This one was a great length and the floral pattern keeps it very feminine. Which is always a great feeling for date night. I loved pairing it with the sweater for colder weather. Sweaters are always a great over layer! It also gave it a cute 90’s vibe. Especially with the socks and high top heels. You would want the sweater to hit at or even above your waste line so using the trick where you tuck it into a belt could help with that.
Fancy Night Out
No date night beats the fancy dinner where it truly feels like a special occasion. You get all dressed up and just feel like you can take on the world. But comfort is always the most important factor for me. This sweater dress is AMAZING! It’s tighter cut and side slit made me feel sexy, while the high neck and long sleeves kept me feeling modest. It was stretchy and so soft. Comes in black with white stripes too for a more casual look.
I added the earrings from Shop Blondee to add to the outfit without overpowering the dress. These heels are a great basic with any dress but also added to that special occasion feeling you want on nicer date nights.
Date night is a big deal! It’s a special night no matter how often it happens. So treat it as such. Always feel your BEST when you’re out on the town. Whether it’s a comfy sweatshirt or the fanciest dress you own.
